Our Sunday club run departs from St Neots Market Square each Sunday at around 8:45 am all year-round. Riders can choose from three distinct route lengths: Short (30 miles at 15–16 mph), Medium (45–55 miles at 17–19 mph), and Long (55–65 miles at 18–20 mph). Groups are capped at 10 per speed level, with faster groups setting off first to ensure riders can regroup if needed. Beyond Sundays, we also organise weekday/race prep rides, including chain gangs on summer Tuesday evenings, mid-week road rides, as well as weekly summer time trials near Abbotsley and Gamlingay.
In 2025 we also introduced a popular development ride for those who aim to ride with the group rides but maybe haven’t got the fitness or confidence quite yet. These are shorter rides at a steady pace, also useful for those recovering from injury or wanting to work on riding in a group.
Etiquette
The primary purpose of the club rides is to promote road cycling to its members in an enjoyable, safe and sociable environment.
Group riding is a great way to build confidence, improve your skills and enjoy cycling with others. You’ll soon find you can ride further and faster together than you might on your own. To help everyone stay safe and have a good time, we ask all riders to follow a few simple guidelines.
